Arcadia Utility Data and Trace Global
Pull bill statements, line items and interval data from thousands of utility portals through Arcadia's utility data API, formerly Urjanet.
- Vendor
- Arcadia
- Method
- Arcadia utility data API (REST, formerly Urjanet) with credential-based statement and interval retrieval
- Direction
- Inbound to Trace Global
- Typical setup
- 3 to 5 days
Arcadia acquired Urjanet in 2022 and now runs one of the largest utility data networks in the United States. If your organization already pays Arcadia to collect bills from utility web portals, Trace Global can read that same stream instead of asking your team to hand over hundreds of portal logins a second time.
We connect with an API key scoped to your Arcadia account. Statements arrive with the original PDF, the extracted charges, meter identifiers and service periods. Where the utility exposes interval data through the portal, Arcadia returns it and we attach it to the matching meter in our normalized record.
The connection is read-only. Trace Global never changes credentials, payment settings or account data inside Arcadia or at the utility.
How the data feeds the audit
- Compare the tariff printed on each statement with the rate schedule the meter's load profile qualifies for.
- Rebuild billed demand from interval data to test ratchet and peak-period demand charges.
- Catch duplicate statements and gaps in the bill sequence before AP pays them twice or misses one.
- Pull the original PDF for every period in a claim so the evidence packet matches what the utility issued.
Setup
- 1Create a read-only API key in your Arcadia account.
- 2Share the key with Trace Global through the secure credential vault.
- 3Confirm which Arcadia accounts and sites are in scope.
- 4Review the backfill report showing statements loaded per site.
- 5Approve the meter-to-site mapping before the first audit run.
Data exchanged
| Object | Detail |
|---|---|
| Statements | Statement date, due date, total, previous balance and a link to the source PDF for every bill Arcadia collects. |
| Charges and line items | Each charge line with its description, quantity, unit, rate and amount, mapped to our 38-check audit schema. |
| Meters and service points | Meter number, service address, service type and the tariff name printed on the bill. |
| Usage and demand | Billed kWh, kW, kVAR, therms or gallons per meter per service period. |
| Interval data | 15-minute or hourly reads where the utility portal publishes them, used for demand and time-of-use checks. |
| Credential status | Portal login health, so we can flag accounts where bill collection has stopped. |
Arcadia Utility Data questions
No. If Arcadia already collects a site's bills, we read them from Arcadia. We only request direct portal access for accounts Arcadia does not cover.
We load every statement Arcadia holds for the accounts in scope. For back-billing windows longer than that history, we request older bills from the utility directly.
No. The key is read-only and we never write data back to Arcadia.
