Why we started

A national retailer can pay twenty thousand utility bills a year. They arrive in hundreds of formats from hundreds of utilities, each priced under a tariff that runs to hundreds of pages and changes several times a year. AP teams are measured on paying them on time, not on checking them. Bill-pay vendors are paid to pay them. Nobody is paid to read them.

The errors that result are not random. A store remodel changes its load but not its rate schedule. A current transformer is replaced and the billing multiplier is not. A plant qualifies for a sales tax exemption that was never filed. Each error repeats on every bill until someone recalculates the bill from the tariff, proves it, and asks for the money back before the refund window closes.

Harshit Srivastav founded Trace Global in 2025 to do exactly that, at the scale of thousands of meters, with a team of tariff analysts and engineers in Telangana working US business hours. We charge only from what we recover, which keeps us honest about what is worth filing.

How we work

The tariff is the standard

Every finding is a recalculation against the published tariff for that service period. Opinions do not go in a claim.

Evidence before filing

No claim leaves until the tariff excerpt, recalculated bills and meter data are attached and reviewed by a second analyst.

Keep the utility relationship

Claims are correction requests through normal channels. We escalate to a commission only with the customer's approval.

Paid on money received

We invoice after the credit posts or the check clears. If our work recovers nothing, it costs nothing.

Read-only by design

We never change service, payment or account settings. Credentials are vaulted, scoped and revocable.

Speed matters

Refund windows close monthly. The first findings report ships in about three weeks because every month of delay is money lost.
