Brokers buy your supply. Trace Global checks your delivery bills.
Energy brokers help buy electricity and gas supply. Trace Global audits delivery, demand and tax charges on the bills you already pay.
Energy brokers and consultants help businesses buy electricity and natural gas in deregulated markets. A good one compares supplier offers, negotiates contract terms and helps time the purchase. The commodity price is only part of a utility bill, though. Delivery, demand, capacity, taxes and fees are billed by the utility under regulated tariffs, and those lines are not the broker's focus. Many brokers are paid through a commission built into the supplier's price, so their incentive is the contract rather than billing accuracy. Trace Global does not sell energy and has no supplier relationships. It checks the charges a broker's contract does not control and claims refunds when they are wrong. The two services address different parts of the same bill.

When energy brokers are the right call
Use a broker when you are renewing a supply contract or buying in a market where you can choose a supplier. Price risk, contract length and renewable options are procurement decisions that a good broker handles well. Trace Global does not advise on supply contracts, and we are not a substitute when the question is who sells you the energy.
Using both
A broker negotiates the supply price, and Trace Global checks the delivery and tax lines the utility bills on top. Findings are filed with the utility, so they do not touch the supply contract. We can also share rate and load data with your broker when it helps with procurement, with your approval.
